Duties include:• Accountable for the Direct and EPCM Procurement function on behalf of the Sasol Technology Secunda Hub for capital projects;• Managing team of 8 employees as well as procurement activities of Engineering Contractors executing EPMC procurement activities on a for and on behalf basis for Sasol Technology in Secunda;• Key performance management and HR related accountabilities for the team;• Participate and influence the procurement decision making process;• Drive the development and implementation of cost reduction initiatives of commercial nature, e.g. pricing strategies, volume discount structures, long term guarantees, etc;• Approve contractual deliverables of Engineering Contractors in accordance with Sasol’s Signing and Approval Authority Manual;• Ensure that all activities are executed in accordance with Sasol Values, Code of Ethics and Procurement Governance Framework (Procedures, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and Signing and Approval Authority Manual);• Manage non-compliance and implement corrective actions;• Manage functional interfaces within Sasol and aligning the different needs and priorities of the different functions, including project management and project procurement to ensure that the objectives of project sourcing strategies are met in a seamless manner;• Manage relationship with Engineering Contractors to maximize their value add in Sasol’s business and maintain win-win relationships;• Ensure that Sasol’s project procurement value proposition and process is well understood by internal and external stakeholders (engineering contractors);• Leading and advising on procurement actions on behalf of the Sasol Technology Project Teams related to the various projects we execute on behalf of Sasol;• Performing contract evaluations and price negotiations with the various Project Teams;• Stakeholder relationship management;• Progress & schedule management;• Also accountable for managing the Logistics function for CPP.

• Seconded to Oryx GTL (Joint Venture between Sasol and Qatar Petroleum) in Qatar for the development and implementation of service and maintenance contracts and purchase orders to be awarded for plant startup & contract completion (hand-over from Construction Contractor);• Responsible for total procurement and contracting process for implementation of maintenance agreements for mechanical, electrical & instrumentation and civil works with local and international Contractors before commissioning of the plant which would produce naphtha, diesel and LPG for the European and other export markets.
