Researching in the Haynes Lab conducting a meta-analysis on DHVI's studies using the CH848 strain of HIV along with other similar meta-analysis projects.

- Work in our labs both at Wake Forest University's Institute for Regenerative Medicine and at Duke University's ExVivo Organ Lab ("DEVOL") - Participate in dozens of experiments running multiple of BMI's temperature controlled perfusion machines during tests on primarily swine kidneys and lungs utilizing BMI's DEVOL solution- Focus on tracking the machines ability to recover or extend preservation time for these organs while tracking real time metrics by performing a variety of tests on perfused blood

- Working on both 911 and Convalescent calls at the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic level- Providing care to hundreds of patients in a variety of medical situations- Learning patient care as well as continuing training of emergency medicine techniques

- Working in Dr. Charlie Cox's ChemEd@Duke research lab on chemistry education research- Focusing on two projects: "A Longitudinal Study of Kinetics and Thermodynamics" & "LabFlow Appreciation"; Previously worked on "Students' Understanding and Perceptions Regarding Chemical Safety"- Presented results of "A Longitudinal Study of Kinetics and Thermodynamics" at the American Chemical Society Spring 2023 conference

This position is a ten week internship at the Joshi Lab at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Brigham.LAB DUTY:- Tissue Culture ManagementPRIMARY PROJECT:- Designing nanoparticles with different functionalities to deliver different genetherapies. Leading multiple projects including presenting research outcomes and giving a training summary at the conclusion of the summer.- Obtaining experience in design, process development, and validation of new drug delivery strategies both in vitro and in vivo in the Anesthesiology Training Program. These technologies include hydrogels, nanoparticles, drug encapsulation, drug stability, etc. ADDITIONAL SKILLS:- Basic laboratory techniques (pipetting, reagent preparation, etc.), Microfluidics, Nanoparticle characterization (DLS), In vitro stability experiments, Cell viability assay, Literature reading

- Created over 30 educational and instructional Youtube videos to teach high-school students chemistry along with leading the student team involved in this work (More than 30,000 cumulative views on videos I worked on)- Developed virtual and augmented reality programs to help students visualize chemical structures- Worked collaboratively to harness individual talents from team members

- Worked under Dr. John D. Jackson and Dr. Russel Sequeira researching the growth rates of oogonial (ovarian) stem cells- Presented the research that I had conducted to WFIRM leaders, colleagues, students, and other interns- Learned how to operate spectrometer and maintain cell cultures
