Mining and Metals: During my time in the Investment banking mining and metals team I was focused on balance sheet funding for local and international mining companies. The work involved building debt capacity models, pricing of deals and overall structuring and execution of funding transactions.Real Estate Credit: In the real estate credit team I was responsible for completing annual credit reviews for a range of real estate clients ranging from small unlisted funds to the larger REIT’s. The credit reviews involved a financial and shareholder analysis of each client, a property analysis and an industry analysis. Real Estate Finance: During my time in the Investment banking real estate team I focused on structuring and execution of real estate funding solutions. I was in a new business team that focused on proving large South African corporates with unique funding structures that would enable them to best utilize their large property portfolios.I have compiled detailed research regarding REIT’s and property portfolios of South African corporates.Corporate Development: I performed multiple valuations (Discounted Cash flows as well as relative valuations) of Standard bank subsidiaries and helped with the analysis of certain disposals and acquisitions.Internal Audit: I assisted with the audit of the Investment banking division of Standard Bank.Investment Banking Africa Finance: I worked on a project to automate the Investment banking finance process for Rest of Africa through leveraging off existing IT infrastructure as well as an analysis of how new IT infrastructure could enhance the finance process . I also compiled monthly management information packs.SBG Securities: I ran the daily bank reconciliations as well as calculated the daily cash requirements and processed funding requests to group treasury. I also compiled the tax pack and submitted the tax returns for the 2014 financial year.

My role was to facilitate weekly tutorial sessions by explaining important accounting concepts, marking tutorials and giving feedback to students.
