Liaise and maintain effective communication with the Emergency Medical Dispatchers, Operations Crew and Management.  Supervise the day to day functioning of the Emergency Operations Centre. Schedule and organize shift rosters for all Emergency Medical Dispatchers on shift. Understand all services, procedures and guidelines, and communicate same to all team members. Monitor all calls to ensure that due procedures and quality standards are strictly adhered to. Facilitate and organize training sessions for all the Emergency Medical Dispatchers. Participate in recruitment of new Emergency Medical Dispatchers.  Medical Dispatchers and organize training sessions/personal development plans for under performers. Submit regular reports to managements and seek new ideas and strategies to improve performance at the center.  Transportation of Ambulances and/or Staff to and from King Shaka International Airport, Ushaka Marine World and Vuza Fleet in Pietermaritzburg. Assist on the ambulances when short staffed as a Basic Ambulance Assistant(Paramedic).Perform Basic Life Support to patients in the pre-hospital environment. Example Rescue, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Injury on Duty Response, Interfacility patient transport.
