As the Chief Executive of Long Live the Kings (LLTK), I manage a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to restoring wild salmon and steelhead and supporting sustainable fishing opportunities in the Pacific Northwest. LLTK helps those who make decisions about salmon to be successful. We pursue projects and partnerships that compel coordinated, scientifically-credible, and transparent changes to harvest, hatchery, and habitat management to protect and restore wild salmon and fisheries in the face of climate change and other threats. We bring innovative tools, proven processes, and a track record of success to each of our projects.Since joining LLTK, we have expanded our influence to include a key leadership role on the regional Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Council, representing those interested in wild salmon and steelhead recovery and sustainable fishing while working to integrate salmon recovery with broader efforts to recover the health of Puget Sound as a whole. I also serve on the Advisory Panel for the U.S. Section of the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission and as a member of the North Pacific Steering Committee of the International Year of the Salmon where I provide guidance and support for comprehensive ocean research programs looking at juvenile salmon and steelhead populations in the high seas. Through this work, LLTK has established a key technical role supporting steelhead, Chinook and Coho recovery planning and adaptive management across the northwest and the North Pacific.
