Machine specialist on filling machines and labellers. Stand in as Maintenance Planner. Key Performance Areas:Quality – Perform Quality Audits on Maintenance Schedule content, Perform Quality Audits on Autonomous Maintenance Schedules and Perform Machine audits.Budgets – Check repair cost against available budget – adherence to maintenance day budget. Housekeeping – Ensure that good housekeeping practices are followed at all time as per WCM 5s standards.Training & Coaching – Coach process artisans, operators & Contractors to execute Maintenance Schedules and machine operating procedures. Production – Do isolation and lock-out of specific equipment prior to maintenance.Interpret maintenance plan and prioritize work Request the required work permits for area including special isolation requests.Executes Schedules and Works Orders according to plan. Participate on problem solving during the maintenance day or when required.Ensure all equipment is test run before actual start up and provide technical support during start up after maintenance.Oversee & validate execution of Autonomous Maintenance Schedules.Attend Pre and Post maintenance day meetings.Administration – Process documentation and records. Write and update machine operating procedures. Update all machine changes in SAP.Find root causes related to machine breakdowns, implement actions to close the loop to prevent them from happening again and update all loop closers in MSG3.

Production – Formulation of Die Shop- Die and Tool manufacturing plan, as per Forge production plan, ensure machine hours/targets are met within prescribed standards, ensure effective communication between shifts, identify areas for productivity improvement and develop plans for improvement.Quality – Ensure that Dies and Tools conform to prescribed standards. Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated on a regular basis. Investigate and establish the reason for non-conformance of dies and tools and implement corrective actions.Housekeeping – Ensure that good housekeeping practices are followed at all times.Budgets – Plan and control budget spending. Purchasing of all raw materials and equipment needed.Industrial Relations – Maintain sound industrial relations in area of responsibility. Have a clear understanding of Company Policies and Procedures. Deal effectively with disciplinary hearings, grievances and the completion of the necessary documentation.Administration – Process documentation and records related to attendance, leave, overtime, clinic/doctor visits, training and ensure the proper control of all standard documentation issued to the Die Shop.Team Management – Evaluate the performance of each employee and take appropriate action where required. Promote the principles of good teamwork, i.e. - facilitate team alignment with a mission, goals and ground rules. Encourage idea generation and innovative thinking, communicate all relevant information to the team effectively and attend to problems raised in a speedy manner, run and facilitate effective meetings. Training & Coaching –Identify individual and team training, development needs and agree on related objectives. Decide on an appropriate intervention and action plan, ensure that all newly appointed team members are given induction training.
