Calling someone lucky is in fact the first step of staying in our comfort zone. What happens is that we create a mental process that justifies our own lack of action. When we call someone lucky, ultimately it means that this person possesses something that we somehow find attractive. Something that we wish we had in our life but that for some reasons we don’t. And yet, we barely look into how they got it. We assume that obtaining this, is simply out of reach and using the term luck is, well, actually rather genius. We trick our mind by making ourselves believe that the reason we don’t have it is not our fault. We make ourselves believe that we don’t have the means to obtain it and that the people who have it were probably just lucky. We don’t need to change, our ego stays intact and we don’t need to step out of our comfort zone.
