Responsible for establishing good governance and financial policies in the group structures and entities. Draft all group financial policies and create a matrix for delegation of authority. Involved in group expansion through acquisition of entities in properties and other partnerships. Responsible for the efforts, results, and success of the Group’s finance function. Provide financial advice and support to help the CEO and executives make key decisions and maintaining an open dialogue with shareholders and stakeholders to drive organisational success.Business & Strategic Planning• Develop the financial elements of the strategic plan• Develop new and periodically review existing financial drivers that impact and effect the strategic plan throughout each financial year• Identify and develop probable financial scenarios and impacts on the business with a review at least quarterly.Partner Relationships • Identify strategic financial and banking, insurance and funding partners as well as key suppliers• Develop relationship with such existing and potential partners and suppliers• Assess benefit of contractual relationships and review contracts with CEO• Develop and manage other contractual/ commercial agreements and maintain and archive.

Deliver information to BPH management regarding the financial performance of the group of companies by using different reporting principles for improved decision-making. Part of leadership team and manage a team of branch and head office accountants, Creditor and HR teams.•Oversee the financial accountants, drafting of financial reporting packs for JSE listed group submission monthly and make sure all IFRS and King IV regulations are adhered to.•Implement branch accountant structure in BPH whereby each branch reports financial info to me to consolidate into monthly reporting and fixed asset management.•Use financial information and implement analytical procedures to report to management on variances in budget.•Manage the implementation of new accounting software specific to the industry and make sure the financial procedures are followed through to the new system. •Control the stock take procedures and new application of stock movement in the new accounting system•Interpretation of financial information for strategic and tactical use within the business and specifically focused on growth and development initiatives but also with regard to the sustainability of the company. •Manage debtors (daily and monthly reporting) and creditors.•Prepare Monthly Management reports to group level for consolidation and statements for MD for decision making•Oversee annual B-BBEE certification and renewal, and achievement of the most desirable score.•Involved in group audit and assisted auditors with Annual Financial Statements.•Overall budget management (adjusting of forecast) by providing monthly and annual budget drafts.•Monitor and implement financial policies and procedures to comply with current legislation.•Additionally responsible for managing HR after a restructuring within the company including Union negotiations.

• Audit:Prepare, plan, conduct, manage and finalise audits. To ensure that the audit reports are completed on time as prescribed.partners as well as key suppliers.• Financial Statements: Prepare proposals and draft annual financial statements.• Taxations: Calculate and submit provisional and annual tax returns. Correspond with SARS on behalf of clients.• Client Portfolio: Deliver excellent customer service by continuously developing and obtaining knowledge of the company’s services to the satisfaction of clients and thus improving the organisation’s image and position in the market. Manage own client database, liaise and consult with clients.• Team management: Manage equal distribution of work, provide support where needed, manage standard of performance, manage effective functioning of teams, identify training needs. Lead audit team and provide knowledge and expertise to other audit teams. Review team’s work including audit working papers and annual financial statements. Build and maintain good relationships across the team.• Administration: Manage own work in process.
