As a Project Assistant on the Elections and Political Processes Team at NDI, I am responsible for tracking and researching global political and electoral developments and distributing those to NDI’s staff in a daily news roundup. I attend the weekly team meetings of the various regional teams and report on the activities of the election team, facilitating inter-team communication and collaboration. I manage the online presence of the Global Network of Election Monitors (GNDEM), including processing member applications, adding elections-related news and member resources to the network’s website, regularly updating the various GNDEM social media accounts, and answering any questions by members or interested persons. I also assist in the writing and publication of the monthly GNDEM newsletter.One of the more interesting aspects of my job with the Elections Team has been to develop interactive visuals and activities to promote the Open Election Data Initiative (OEDI). These activities include a celebration of Holi, Star Wars, and Shark Week.

Working with the public policy team, I assisted the InterAction staff on their food aid and food security; WASH; and democracy, rights, and governance portfolios. In this position, I:- Attended and summarized hearings and briefings on the Hill- Attended food security, food aid, and WASH working group meetings- Updated the WASH section of the InterAction website- Helped identify potential political and civil partners for the democracy, rights, and governance initiative- Expanded InterAction's Twitter @NGOVoices presence by creating a communications outline for each of the public policy team's portfolios and identifying other leading Twitter accounts on those issues- Helped plan events, including organizing catering, tracking RSVPs, and other administrative tasks

I worked with the NIAC policy team on U.S. foreign policy towards Iran, including the nuclear negotiations and sanctions issues. I covered events and briefings on and off the Hill related to Iran, and wrote articles and memos for NIAC's website and newsletter. My primary task was to manage and update the organization's website, which included the development of an interactive "Congressional Scorecard" map plugin for WordPress. I also assisted with event planning, community outreach, database management, and other administrative duties.

I was a full time volunteer that helped the Khmer staff conduct research, write grant proposals, develop projects and strategies, edit research reports, and managed their web site. I primarily worked on their projects related to education in Cambodia.

I worked as a full time volunteer, focusing on developing and implementing fundraising activities and social entrepreneurship projects. We developed a business plan that allowed Our Home to open and operate its own independent laundry service, facilitating their financial independence from external donors. I also made updates to the organization's website to increase its accessibility to English, French, and Khmer speakers and highlighted the organization's accomplishments. Additionally, I helped to manage a fundraiser that raised over $2,500 from local donors to renovate Our Home's school and created the print materials that were used to reward the campaign's donors.

Working for the "What Middletown Read" project for the BSU Honors College, I researched the "Muncie Star" to investigate the reading habits of Muncie inhabitants in the early 1900s'. I also created a mock design for a new website that would be both beautiful and functional.

10 hours a week, I worked with 1-5 students for a 50 minute session to review and discuss course material. I would teach study skills and help prepare for tests and quizzes. After completing 15 hours of training, I received my College Reading & Learning Association Advanced Tutor certification.

I TA'ed for Honors 199, American Family History, under Dr. Anthony Edmonds. I led class discussions over the course material, graded assignments and journals, and worked with individual students during office hours. I also planned several classes throughout the semester.
