Jacques (J.P.P.) Haenen (1949) is an emeritus assistant professor at Utrecht University, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. He worked as a teacher educator and researcher and studied psychology and Russian at the universities of Utrecht, Amsterdam and Moscow. He had been external member of the Examination Board of the University of Humanistic Studies, Utrecht, the Netherlands.His research centred on teacher education from the perspectives of learning and educational psychology, focusing on foreign-language education, history education, co-operative learning, and the development and evaluation of effective instruction.
