Research and Developement Engineer at the Structural Performance Analysis and Modeling Lab (LMAPS), affiliated to the Equipment and Structures Assessment Department (SES) in the Nuclear Safety Division (PSN). Our mission is to better understand and quantify the performance of structures and equipment playing a major role for nuclear safety, whether these installations already exist or are in the design phase. Current Research Topics:- Structure/environment interaction for high time constants (structural ageing).Concrete pathologies: identification and understanding of local mechanisms and the mechanical consequences of the development of internal swelling reactions in cementitious materials (such as alkali–silica reaction (ASR) and Delayed Ettringite Formation (DEF)) and of the corrosion phenomenon- Evaluation of air-vapor leaks and damage (cracking) in confined reinforced concrete structures in accidental situations.Missions:- Design of complex experimental campaigns including state of the art instrumentation technics.- Development of various numerical simulation tools.- Active participation in projects such as: the ODOBA project, the MACUMBA project and the CONCRETE consortium.- Supervising interns and post-doctoral research activities.

Mission: Investigate the influence of implementing recycled concrete aggregates on the adherence properties between reinforcing steel and concrete. This research project is part of the RECYBETON National Research Project that aims to implement recycled concrete in structural applications. Skills:- Mastering the physical mechanisms involved and proposing theoretical and semi-empirical models- Development of a Matlab simulation code- Analysis of heavy experimental data and Literature review- Manufacture and instrumentation of recycled concrete test specimens- Project management and team work

Las Salinas Resort is among the most prestigious resorts in Lebanon. Attention to details has been applied to every aspect of the resort, to ensure a relaxed, friendly and professional environment. It was founded in 1987 and ever since it's constantly growing.I had the chance to work as a site civil engineer on the fifth expansion project of this resort: the construction of Las Salinas 5 under the supervision of the MCM group. My job as a site engineer consisted of monitoring the construction project at several stages (excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete work, partitioning, isolation, painting), quantity surveying, and making sure all is going according to plan and on time.Being part of the Las Salinas team enhanced my social skills as well. I learned allot about conflict resolution and how to deal with people with different backgrounds.

Mission: Assisting professors in conducting experiments related to civil engineering topics, mainly concrete technology and soil mechanics. The experiments focused on the rheological and hardened properties of concrete, soil gradation, materials absorption rates and strength of materials (mechanical testing). Working in the civil laboratory did not just enhance my experimental skills but it helped me develop my engineering judgement and offered me a better understanding of certain scientific notions. Throughout my work in this environment I discovered and nourished my passion for research and materials optimization.

Quantity surveying and BOQ preparation of King Abdul-Aziz Airport Expansion Project (Jeddah-KSA). Work done in collaboration with DG Jones & Partners. - Estimation of excavation quantities (cut and fill) of the construction sites using Autodesk Civil 3D software. - Preparation of Electrical / Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical BOQ (Bill Of Quantity) of the main load centers of Jeddah Airport- Design of the airport’s new landing strips

Issa Engineering Company is the consultancy company responsible for the design and supervision of Hawa Chicken's main processing plant in Chikka - North Lebanon.I worked as a site supervisor representing the consulting company. My job consisted of monitoring the contracting firm's work in various stages of the construction process.The project consists of a three floors plant, 20 000 square meters each with an estimated over all budget of 56 million dollars. All the slabs were made of pre-stressed/pre-fabricated concrete panels that were installed on site. I gained many skills working on this project. Technically i learned allot about pre-stressed concrete in matters of design and execution. I also increased my knowledge concerning project management and I learned how to detect execution errors performed by contractors.
