Played a key role in the privatisation of the bank following its acquisition by Southern Bank Berhad. Led the restructuring of all operations as well as its Global Markets Division with direct report to the shareholder. The bank was subsequently acquired by the ABSA banking group from South Africa.

TreasurerResponsible for establishing Treasury and Trading Division of a greenfield bank and the acquisition of all regulatory licenses. After successful completion of the task I was relocated to Mozambique to assist with privatisation and restructuring of a newly acquired bank from the State. Southern Bank of Africa was subsequently acquired and transferred to private ownership in 2001.
