I was appointed as part of the company operational board of directors and executive management team, focusing on structural capital and taking on the role of IT Manager and IT Management and development regarding aspects such as infrastructure, networking, and security.I continued to form part of the innovation council and development teams extending on our Revenue Weaver, ORCHA and other Globetom Platforms, building on existing market solutions and extending platforms for new market solutions using our Globetom Platforms.

Additional Responsibilities and Tasks Included:* Ensuring that software engineering practices get followed in various teams. * Accountable for ensuring that the globetom architectural blueprint gets followed. * Involved in compiling and enforcing software engineering best rules within the organization. * Liaison between engineering and support with the Support Manager.Forming part of the innovation council and development teams extending on our Revenue Weaver, ORCHA and other Globetom Platforms, building new Market solutions in the Wholesale distribution market, Leisure and other markets using our Globetom Platforms. ORCHA middleware extensions for OpenGroup XATMI support, replacing legacy XATMI implementations in mission-critical environments.

I joined GlobeTOM in 2004 after completing my Engineering degree. In 2004 I did my Honours degree part-time. Together with an external partner, we developed a Data Warehousing solution for municipalities still on legacy AdabasC implementations. We opened the data to a more modern RDMS (Oracle and MySQL) coupled with a front end tailored to the customer requirements for data investigations and reporting. This project introduced me to various new technologies and responsibilities (technical lead, sales, operations and customer exposure). During my second year, I became part of a team of six people that designed and developed the GlobeTOM Grid Enterprise Foundation (GEF) system—later trademarked as ORCHA. I was involved in the detailed design and development of several components. The product formed the underlying middleware architecture of NetGate; a network mediation solution developed and implemented at Vodacom SA. I would later also grow into becoming the technical lead for NetGate.Further involvement included the establishment of our GlobeTOM Prepaid Platform (GP3)—later trademarked as Revenue Weaver. A billing platform developed for convergent markets.Iwin is a fully integrated SMPP based WASP solution for managing customer contacts, scheduled messaging and complete competition management capabilities.
