About Jacques Vincelette, P.Eng.

Through my 12 years as containment technical lead, I have trained and supervised engineering teams to develop and validate safety critical components at industrial nuclear sites around the globe. I analyzed safety documentation and historical data from various nuclear plants including the Embalse CANDU reactor, Olkiluoto EPR, British AGR, and PWRs from AREVA and Westinghouse. I developed high fidelity computer models of containment systems and safety systems and simulate accident conditions including LOCA, containment leaks, loss of electrical power, loss of secondary cooling, and turbine trip. My experience and studies apply well the open communication and cooperation that make the foundation of the nuclear safety culture.As an active member of the Business Continuity Institute, I encourage the international collaboration between professional practitioners in risk management.
