I work at Paper High as an Ecommerce Assistant where my key roles are managing stocks on various shopping platforms, listing products, creating infographics, using Adobe Photoshop to edit images and other admin tasks.

I worked temporarily as a keyholder for Ragyard thrift store in Brighton during the lead up to Christmas before it's eventual closure. I then temporarily helped at the retail store Soctopus in Brighton's North Lanes for several weeks.- Keyholding responsibility of opening and closing the shop- Setting up the store for the day and ensuring cleanliness and stock management- Operating the till and corresponding with customers - Creating displays for the front window - Inputting the days income into an excel spreadsheet and counting the till

I have worked intermittently for several years at this establishment as a café assistant and barista. I assisted in the running of the café, including training new staff and delegating responsibilities and feedback.- Greetings customers at the door- Preparing an assortment of beverages- Superb telephone manner- Managing social media bookings & table management- Training new staff and delegating responsibilities

I create handmade jewellery on a small online shop in my spare time where I sell bespoke handmade clay items. My brand exhibits a love for unique, colourful, and retro pieces which I make in my spare time.- Social media marketing and researching brand strategies- Photographing and editing product images- Packaging orders proficiently, and managing customer inquiries- Running promotions and social media competitions to gain traction- Updating and editing online store

My role included all aspects of front of house; that including taking orders, preparing the assortments of pastries and answering the phone. I was also in control of setting up the establishment at the start of the day and making sure the duties of end of day were fulfilled, that being counting the till and making sure the accounts for the day were accounted for. I was also trained to work as a barista, as it was a hands on job that required a level of multitasking and being able to help out in each aspects of the cafe.

My role included working the till, making cocktails, preparing and serving drinks and on occasion serving food on day time shifts. This was a fast paced role and required good communication, teamwork, patience and coordination.

I was tasked with designing posters and leaflets that were then displayed to the local community. I enjoyed the placement as it was very different to my other working experiences, and taught me how to apply my talents in a new environment. I was also given the chance to develop my communicational skills, as I learnt about the effectiveness of communicating well within a team. I understand that without this skill, the important factors of the work would fall apart. At the end of the experience I presented my work and involvement in front of various students and professionals who had been a part of the scheme. I found that opportunity helped me develop my presentational skills as it gave me experience presenting myself professionally in front of working individuals.

I worked as a waitress in the islands oldest running restaurant, a French restaurant called L’experience. I enjoyed my role as it gave me greater experience in a more exclusive place, learning about different cuisines and an extensive wine menu. My job involved all aspects of waitressing, sorting the bills, taking the food out and preparing different drinks. I also worked their busy private functions also.

My first actual proper job was at hotel called HQ bar and restaurant. I worked as a house keeper in the day and waitress at night. I found this to be quite a hands on job and learnt quite a lot of skills regarding this, working long hours and getting the job done quickly and effectively. I enjoyed working as a waitress as I was able to learn how it all worked, taking orders, waiting on tables, setting up tables and settling the bills and talking to the various and different types of customers and working in a bar environment.
