1999 – 2004 Broker ConsultantAfter a short training period, I took on the role of Broker Consultant and was given a panel of IFAs, mostly specialising in Pensions and Investments. This role required me to build and maintain relationships with these IFAs, while promoting Scottish Life products and services. I specialised in company pension schemes and as a result dealt with many company directors, company secretaries and finance directors. I was involved in a number of corporate events both at branch and company level, either promoting new products or entertaining IFAs in recognition of business.1990 – 1999 Sales Support (Pensions) Employed as a graduate in the Glasgow Branch team as a Sales Support Administrator within the Pensions Department. I dealt with all types of pension arrangement from group schemes, such as Final Salary, CIMP, COMP, GPPs, EPPs and SASSs, to Individual arrangements, for example Personal Pensions and Retirement Annuity Contracts. I handled all aspects of administrative duties such as new business quotes, adding new entrants to schemes, processing scheme leavers, scheme annual renewals, scheme allocations, retirement quotes, as well as processing individual pension applications and dealing with all associated administrative issues. This role involved constant contact with local IFAs and maintaining relationships with these IFA firms for the benefit of the branch.
