Tenancy Preservation Project / Assistant Program DirectorWork with Program Director to oversee all aspects of program including developing and providing innovative and flexible services that preserve tenancy and prevent homelessness for many of Boston’s most vulnerable citizens.Responsible for assessment, evaluation and the creation of treatment plans designed to stabilize the tenancy.Generate referrals to external agencies as needed. Assess and provide individualized and appropriate services that address underlying issues related to problem tenancy, eviction and resulting homelessness can be prevented.Maintain collaborative relationships across systems to insure coordinated plans that resolve obstacles to quality tenancy.

Responsible for overall management of multiple residential programs, maintaining Department of Mental Health, Department of Public Health, Medicaid Rehabilitation Option Standards and all applicable housing standards. Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing patterns, program development, clinical practices, assisting in the development of in-service trainings for all division staff in cooperation with other Senior Program Directors, the Associate Division Director and the Division Director. Provide emergency back-up coverage (via the beeper) to program staff on a regularly scheduled basis. Maintain ongoing communication with relevant state, agency staff (i.e. natural service area, Metro Boston DMH, DPH and licensing) in a positive and professional manner.Ensure that programs comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.Responsible for developing and maintaining program budgets, ongoing oversight and trouble shooting.Hiring and terminating employees, following all Federal, State and Local laws.
