I'm currently engaged in marketing on a freelance basis for Developers for Training & Consultancy who provide international consulting, training and management of staff selection services. My role involves developing business relationships with worldwide professional bodies in numerous different countries. My experience overseas with different cultures assists me greatly in this role. I've spent some time as an expat based in the Netherlands (2001-2004) and in Qatar (2007-2012) with my husband and family. During this time I raised my young children and was actively engaged in the community, leading parents' groups and teaching swimming.

From 1995 to 2001 I was employed by the Inland Revenue Department, a tax collection authority that is governed by the Tax Administration Act 1994 ( New Zealand), beginning as a cadet and progressing to Corporate Investigator at the National Office in Auckland.As team leader and member of a team, I conducted effective audits and investigations, I liaised with business entities, providing education and advice on compliance with tax and social policy obligations. I was in charge of preparation of reports, participated in meetings with corporate customers and professional advisors and made recommendations under the Compliance and Penalties regime in all cases of discrepancies. I also researched business entities and provided accurate data for the compilation of a Tax Risk Analysis Report. Taxation is a fraught area, and I examined the local and global environment for issues that may impact the New Zealand tax system, providing advice and assistance on taxation and industry issues to management and staff.During this time I built positive working relationships with corporate managers, team leaders and external customers and agents.I also provided feedback and coaching to staff members contributing to enhanced staff development. I was awarded the Employee Distinction Award for outstanding work.
