I began my career in Dentistry at the tender age of 16. After I left school, I travelled for 2 months, leaving my poor Mom to discuss work options with the career services! I came back from travelling and was told I was due to start work at a dental practice the following week, on a YTS scheme. Immediately I knew I had found my work passion, even though I was only earning £25 per week (It was 1983). Since then I have continued in Dentistry on many different levels: Dental Nurse, Locum Dental Nurse, I set up a Dental Recruitment agency in Hampshire and worked as a Business advisor for Norwich Union. Leaving Dental Nursing to work as a Business Manager Role supporting practices converting from NHS to Private, I have worked with over 500 practices nationwide. I have since run Independent Dental Plans Limited since 2004, offering tailor made plans to practices looking to stabilise their income and improve the loyalty of their patient base.I have also returned to Recruitment, since September 2013. It’s safe to say I love it!!I love being able to help our clients fill their recruitment needs, and also helping new candidates find their dream job. We provide help and support for Healthcare Professionals searching for staff both locum and permanent. We work with NHS and private practices, clinics and hospitals. We also work as a 2nd tier agency to the Ministry of Defence, providing Locum Dental & Healthcare professionals throughout the UK and Germany & Cyprus.My other passions include: Spending time with my family and friends, travelling, reading, good food, good red wine & camping. And last but by no means least, my four legged friend, my Dog.My dislikes: lateness, ignorance and worms/snakes.
