I help people nourish themselves, to perform better, and enjoy their food. I work in the field of nutrition because I love food. I want to help others form a healthy and sustainable relationship with food too. I grew up on the Coffs Coast and took every opportunity to play sport at school, and on the weekends. After High School I studied at Griffith University, first completing a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, and then graduating in 2011 with a Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics. I landed a new grad position at Coffs Harbour Hospital and have worked there ever since. In 2017 I studied Sports Nutrition at the Australian Institute of Sport and have been obsessed with performance nutrition since then. In 2021, while on maternity leave with my second child, I started Food Culture Nutrition and Sports Dietetics. My mindset was ‘its now or never’. I started my own business for 2 reasons: I wanted to work with athletes (sports dietetics is relatively non-existent in our area), and I wanted to practice dietetics my way. My way means putting the client first, simplifying the confusing world of nutrition information, and fostering a culture of sustainable, realistic nutrition.
