Guidance Counselor: Adhere to and support board policy, school guidelines, administrative rules and directives. Make self available to all students seeking guidance and academic counseling services.Understand, evaluate, and interpret academic performance data.Implement individual and group counseling methods that are appropriate.Submit required reports (PPR, KPI, OOD Notifications, etc.) promptly and accurately.Schedule students in academically appropriate courses.Meet individually with every student and develop a career plan as well as a grad plan. Assist students with scholarship, college entrance, and financial aid applications as well as college class enrollment.Schedule and coordinate Student Assessment Tests (iReady) as well as the PSAT, SAT, GED, etc.Athletic Coach:Assesses player’s skills and assigns team positions.Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and teamdevelopment.Works with the athletics director in scheduling facilities for practices and competition.Determines game strategy based on the team’s capabilities.Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.Conferences with parents/guardians, as necessary, regarding the athletic performance of their student.Follows state, regional, and district regulations governing the athletic program.Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment,supplies, and uniforms.Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.Maintains eligibility forms, emergency data cards, insurance records, equipment inventory, and otherrelated records.Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.Attends staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coachingperformance.
