As CEO, I was given the honour of being nominated on to Ireland's Small Business Forum by Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Micheal Martin T.D. The purpose of this appointment was to consider the current environment in which small businesses operate and to advise on the appropriateness and adequacy of the public policy responses in place to support small business.Further key responsibilities included:• Maintaining chamber and developing new streams of revenue to enable the implementation of the Chambers business plan. This responsibility extended to producing regular financial reports for officers & council. Where applicable the responsibility also included ensuring compliance with any requirements necessary under company law.• Researching and proposing draft positions to the Council and campaigning to ensure that agreed policies are implemented. I was responsible for providing policy advice to chamber members and ensuring the chamber was respected as the key business-lobbying organisation in its area.• Serving as a prime public spokesperson on behalf of the chamber.• Responsible for chamber communications - both internally to council and members and externally to local and national government, public representative, CCI and the media.

Providing individual business mentoring; business workshop training; program and curriculum development for outreach and collaborations on behalf of the Enterprise Board.
