I work with an incredible group of volunteers at the museum, all focussed on aiding the RNLI to save lives at sea. The RNLI Henry Blogg Museum won the VAQAS Best Told Story Accolade in 2014 and we certainly have some amazing stories to tell. Henry Blogg was awarded more gallantry medals than anyone else in the history of the RNLI and deservedly so. The Cromer lifeboat crews have certainly proven their courage!As a small but very busy museum, we are always on the look out for quality touring exhibitions and novel events. If you have an idea or an existing exhibition or event I'd love to hear from you.Exhibitions in the past have included Hope in the Great War: RNLI Lifesaving, Response and Rescue: the making of the emergency services, 1950s Fashion: a decade of glamour, Keepsakes, Keyrings and Kiss Me Quick (reminders of past holidays), Atmospheric Norfolk (art exhibition) and Unsung Heroes (the role of the Merchant Navy in World War 2.I'm particularly interested in hosting any family exhibition looking at the science and engineering of the sea and/or boat building. All hands on and family fun of course!I am currently working on a learning program with Cromer Museum and National Maritime Museum called Stories from the Sea, developing more learning resources for children aged 5 to 11. I am hoping we will be partners on a wellbeing project with Voyage With Me, 2016 -2019.
