One of my main achievements was completing a Masters of Arts degree in Writing and Literature. My unit choices covered Publishing, Editing, Creative Writing, Scriptwriting, Text for Children, Marketing and a research project, which was the basis for my historical, fiction novel, When The Glitter Fades.My ability to speak multiple languages offered me excellent work opportunities in tourism. I worked in inbound (ATS Pacific) and outbound tourism (Melia Travel), and as a tour guide with Australian Pacific Tours. I also created special interest travel itineraries for groups who wanted to experience Australia in a unique way and wrote the copy for the travel brochures.In 2002, I founded my writing business and began copywriting for businesses while also teaching drama and writing plays and film scripts. I also worked in film, television and theatre through an agent.A few of my plays and a short film I directed won awards, and I was encouraged to publish five of my plays. Ready-Ed Publications commissioned me to write four educational books called The Lights, Camera, Action series on filmmaking and theatre production.When I moved to the Gold Coast, I worked at the Southern Cross University Business School, where I assisted with collating Corporate Programs specifically tailored to teach leadership skills to people in high-level management positions.Other career highlights included helping people write their life stories. Some wrote because they wanted their families to have a memoir of their life. Others wanted to publish their books as a business tool or as a source of income. What a privilege it has been to be a part of their lives. My debut novel, When The Glitter Fades is an Australian historical fiction novel (although loosely based on Alf Broadway's Pantomime Players). It's a generational saga, love triangle story of murder and mayhem among spectacular performances of vaudeville performers who toured regional Victoria during the Great Depression.
