As a Solution Delivery Manager I was responsible for supporting the implementation of various projects and New Service Developments within the Shell Global Account of T-Systems. I was a single point of contact for all the Service Engineering teams that were involved in the execution of these projects/NSDs. I monitored the required SE activities and made sure the efforts and issues were captured using the appropriate tools and the objectives were met with regards to time, budget and quality.

The team consisted of Wintel/LINUX/UNIX/CITRIX/Storage Technical Project Leads that were working as project manager or as a resource on projects for our customer Shell.I was responsible for resource management: • assigning the right resource, with the right skills/experience to a project based on resource requests from the Global Project Delivery department.• adapting the amount of FTE’s in the team according to the resource requirements.I was also responsible for HR related activities:• Extending contracts in time in IQN, • Monitoring that timewriting is done by all team members in all time registration systems (Miles+ / IQN) accurately and timely.• Appraisal/Employee Development/Target Letter discussions with members of the team that were T-Systems staff. • Periodical meetings with contractor agencies with regards to performance of contractors in the team. • Organizing team meetings.• Authorization of requests submitted by team members.• Authorization of access to applications, tools, hosts, VLANs .• On-boarding/off-boarding of team members

The team consisted of UNIX/LINUX engineers and Technical Project Leads that performed classic LINUX, DCS LINUX, VWS and CUBE infrastructure deployments / refreshes / decommissions for our customer Shell. Initially resources were located in MY, UK, US and NL. In July 2013 Classic LINUX and DCS LINUX activities were off-shored to Malaysia. Remaining resources located in NL performed VWS and CUBE deployment / refresh / decommission activities up until 31/3/2015. On that date the off-shoring of these activities has been completed as well.Functionally responsible for:• Organizing team meetings.• Authorization of requests submitted by team members• Monitoring workloads and setting priorities• Monitoring and acceptance of incoming infrastructure orders from the customer Shell• Delivery of infrastructure ordered by the customer Shell within SLA• Improvement of processes • Improvement of workplans for our infrastructure deployment / refresh / decommission activities• Leave planning• Work with Global Component Delivery Manager to update workplans according to new SLA requirements of the ISR.• As part of the off-shoring projects: -- Work with the PMs of the off-shoring projects to coordinate the activities required within the team -- Work with the NL team to provide documentation, training sessions, training material, test systems for the off-shoring -- Work with the MY team to make sure the right amount of resources is available with the right skills/experience for the off-shoring -- Make sure the infrastructure deployment / refresh / decommission activities continue to be performed within SLA during the off-shoring.• Escalations if our SLAs are at risk of being breached.
