I am an Occupational Therapy student working towards my Doctorate at the University of South Dakota. As a student at the University of South Dakota, I have gained skills in communication, leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, advocacy, and clinical practice. I have also obtained clinical experiences in the settings of home health, outpatient neurology, and outpatient pediatrics. Throughout the next year, I will be gaining clinical experience in the settings of acute care, birth to 3 services, and outpatient pediatric feeding. The time I have spent at USD in the occupational therapy program has reinforced my strong passion for those with varied cognitive and physical abilities. I continue to strive to help my clients find their purpose in life, as well as help them function independently in society.
