I'm currently working on programming for Youth Speaks's MC Olympics 2018 as a "Visionary".I work with one other Visionary to construct the program, plan events, book artists, and host 3 preliminary rounds as well as Finals at Brick and Mortar Music Hall. The past 2 school years I've been a part of Youth Speaks Collective as an "Emerging Poet Mentor". We'd meet bi-monthly for a group meeting and trainings. We'd create workshop curriculum and new poetic material.I performed and facilitated writing workshops for several schools, companies, and organizations on behalf of Youth Speaks.I was a 2-year member of SPOKES. SPOKES is the Youth Advisory Board for Youth Speaks for ages 13-19. We'd monthly, to attend educational trainings, build our team, plan community action projects and help cultivate community and shift culture. We also staffed all Youth Speaks events throughout the year and conducted bi-monthly Under 21 open mics.

I had the pleasure of working with Aspen Institute for a 3rd year. It was my first year in the Peer Mentor position in which I helped with pre-seminar planning, logistics and making improvements based on the years before. I enjoyed co-facilitating discussions, directing a production for the Aspen Ideas festival, hosting the open ic and supporting Creative Young Leaders through the experience in any way possible. There were a whole lot of gems from this year and a lot of learning and close bonds fostered! All the wonderful photos are by Dan Gilmore.

As a Youth Advisor I help build community, plan and facilitate activities and installations in the museum. I've worked with 3 other young adults and our lead Trey Amos to plan and develop the RESPECT: Hip-Hop Style and Wisdom exhibit from a youth-led Hip-Hop centered perspective.I helped contribute to the exhibit by coordinating conducting and transcribing interviews with community pillars (Emory Douglas, Goapele, Rob Jackson, etc.) Displayed March 24th-August 13th at the museum. Meanwhile, I help facilitate bi-weekly programs such as Cypher Sundays, Plug N' Play and more.I am currently preparing a showcase of local emerging artists in collaboration with my business, Tatu Vision and OMCA.
