In my role as Regional Training Manager I was responsible for direction and leadership for all aspects of Training in the Chicago area. Responsibilities included the following: • New Store Opening Coordinator. • Liaison between field support staff and corporate support staff as it relates to training. • Worked closely with each General Manager to ensure proper training programs were in place and utilized with both hourly and management staff. • Evaluation of all restaurant operations, i.e., food, quality, guest service, sanitation as it relates directly to proper training, through review of systems and store visits • Worked closely with the Director of Operations on New Store Openings, Area Director, Corporate Training Staff, General Managers, Assistant Managers and Facility Manager to ensure a smooth opening of a restaurant • Planned and executed train-the-trainer sessions to all Area Directors, and Managers on how to execute Applebee’s core training programs (MIT, Neighborhood University, Developmental Workshops, etc.) • Responsible for all new product roll-out area wide, initially new product implementation to Area Directors and General Managers, then ensured the correct process was adhered to in the restaurants • Oversaw all employee training programs, including management training, harassment prevention training, ServSafe training, and all other aspects of training within the company • Recruit and train the Team Leaders who execute the restaurant training programs

Food Service Manager Responsibilities include the successful retail operation of Food & Nutrition Services at the University of Evansville campus. Daily operation management to include: • Supervision of all staff • Menu planning with Chef • Purchasing • Profit and Loss • Organizing all special events with Catering Manager • Human Resource responsibilities to include all interviewing, hiring, training of all staff • Communications daily with the President of the University in regards to Food Service

During this time I managed a team of 7 General Managers and 21 Assistant Managers in a specified area that included a 7 restaurant territory in Indiana and Illinois. Responsibilities included the following: • Provided planning, direction and leadership for all aspects of the restaurant business within my two state geographic areas. Responsible for brand management and growth through operational focus on guest service, product quality, cleanliness, financial results, restaurant management and employee development in each restaurant• Developed formal business plans with the General Manager for each my restaurants• Implementation of human resources planning which takes into account staffing levels, recruiting, retention, hiring/firing, wage/salary/benefits administration, work environment and morale.• Evaluated restaurant operations, i.e., food, quality, guest service, sanitation and cost controls for adherence to Company policies and procedures, through review of Company monitoring systems and store visits.• Served as a Human Resources field personnel, working closely with Human Resources to ensure compliance with all Company policies and implementing all HR procedures and action plans.• Prepared the annual market, general and administrative budgets. Oversaw the preparation of the restaurant budgets.• Established a performance goal for each Manager within my district, and reviewed results with all levels of management on a periodic basis to ensure progress.• Supervised all employee training programs, to include MIT (manager in training) program, harassment prevention training, ServSafe training, diversity training, new product rollout, all new policy and procedure training, and all other training modules as rolled out by the Company or Denny's International.• Daily communications with restaurant management concerning implementation of chain-wide programs, i.e., maintenance and repair, financial reporting, etc..
