Adam is an Engineering Leader at Netflix, where he oversees portions of the Open Connect Platform that delivers high-quality streaming content to millions of users around the world. He has more than 25 years of experience in network engineering, architecture, and design, and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University. He is also the founder of BACKRND, a startup that leverages cutting-edge technology for real-time content production applications. In his previous role as Engineering Director of Creative Infrastructure at Netflix, he led the design and implementation of the technology infrastructure that supported the production and post-production workflows of Netflix Originals. He has strong skills in network engineering, systems architecture, platform design, and systems optimization, as well as a deep understanding of the media landscape and the challenges and opportunities it presents. He values collaboration, diversity, and innovation in his work and is always eager to learn new technologies, explore new ideas, and solve complex problems that enhance the user experience and the technology performance.
