I started Earth Force in order to cut GHG emissions globally by a meaningful amount, while actively protecting human life and biodiversity. The team and backers are great, and the company is off to a great start.In terms of background, I am a systems engineer by training, and in my career have thrived in roles that center on direct interpersonal selling, complex transactions, and extensive relationship building: community organizing, energy policy advocacy, large-scale energy project development, innovative infrastructure development, fundraising for startups, and general management in high-tech companies. My career goals are quite simple: to help accelerate the deployment of climate-positive technologies, in whatever capacity I can be of use. I am particularly interested in environmental solutions inspired by the modern notion of technologically-enabled abundance rather than legacy mindsets of scarcity: How can society be restructured around the fact that we now have essentially unlimited access to extraordinarily cheap renewable energy? How can mass-production, automation, effectively free computing power, etc be harnessed to provide increasingly widespread health and prosperity? I believe that transportation, food production, renewable resource management, and housing, to name four sectors of the economy with immense environmental footprints as well as quality-of-life implications, are all ripe to be re-invented around abundance and sustainability. This type of change is hard work, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to be part of getting the job done.
