Gnarly Karma is a Long Island based band that I have been managing since their start-up. My primary duties are: promoting recent accomplishments/news, booking shows with various venues, and handling their social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Along with this, I balance their budget and the money earned from playing shows, which often gets distributed to different investments amongst the band such as: making t-shirts/stickers, and investing in studio time/new equipment. My duties also include researching different music-related blogs and reaching out to them about the band in hopes that Gnarly Karma will be featured. Recently, two blogs have posted Gnarly Karma’s newest single, and one even provided them with an interview opportunity. Managing the band provides me with responsibility as well as shows my ability to motivate and get along with artists in sometimes challenging circumstances.

Performance Fuels is both a gas station/convenience store as well as an operating Subway restaurant. As Manager, it is my responsibility to oversee the rest of the employees, making sure the store is running to it’s full capacity. Along with this, I am also responsible for the training of new, potential employees, giving me much trust and responsibility. Product inventory in both the store, as well as the Subway is checked by me, as is the ordering of products from various vendors as needed. I also keep record of daily transactions and mange cash, making sure there are no mistakes or suspicious activity amongst employees. I recently helped to increase the total revenue of Subway by 12%, by encouraging customers to expand their orders.

Intice Online is a Toronto based website that reports the latest celebrity news, fashion/beauty styles, as well as today’s popular (and new) music artists. As a blogger I was responsible for researching these topics and writing short articles about my findings. As an intern I was responsible for posting at least three articles per day. Most of what I did involved the fashion and beauty aspect-from the latest trends, to who was making his or her breakthrough in the industry. It was crucial for me to learn the structure of their website in order for me to succeed in blogging and posting my articles properly. Along with posting short articles, I was responsible for keeping their various social media platforms up-to-date. This included the company’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

We Love Radio was a Long Island based pop-punk band that I managed during their two years together. During that time I was responsible for booking their shows with various different venues, and sometimes, even negotiating with some bars to allow them to play despite not yet being 21. Along with this, I distributed tickets, managed their Facebook/Youtube accounts, and promoted their sales through iTunes. The band received over 20,000 plays on Youtube.
