Much like many people of our generation climate change weighs heavily on my mind. I have always loved the outdoors, the flora and fauna that surrounds us, and the way our world's biodiversity is reliant on each other. To devote my life's work to make the world a better place for the generations to come is empowering for me. Educating myself and those around me about the local ecology and environment is a way to change the general attitude about the conservation regarding preserving natural spaces.I was fortunate enough to be a part of a research lab my freshman year of college. I took part in analyzing the biodiversity of the few local water systems in El Paso, Texas. We collected sediment and water samples for eDNA analysis using PCR.Ecology and aquatic ecology are subjects I am passionate about. While in school I have taken The Fundamentals of Aquatic Toxicology and Aquatic Insects of North America courses. As well as Community Ecology and Biodiversity for Animal Conservation classes and Ecology Field courses. Each has deepened my knowledge of interspecific and infraspecific relationship dynamics of ecosystem energy transfers. I have been familiarized and have practice with taxonomic identifications.As for my work experience, I have excellent customer service skills from my time at Whataburger and Corner Bakery as a Cashier. Handling hungry people with a supportive correspondence. I have also been an Administrative Assistant at a property management company and that included data entry, software integration and clientele management.My ambition is to connect my advocacy of ecosystems and watersheds with my communication skills to "preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values”(NPS) of our essential environments.
