I was a Senior Care Assistant for a 84 bed home, my job was supporting clients who needed 24 hour careI supported service users that had Dementia, MS, end of life, Parkinson, peg feeds, tracheotomy, COPDMy job was to assist with all personal care, moving and handling , administration of medication, toileting and regular pressure relief My job was to Support my team and make sure that the shift run smoothly, i also worked closely with the nurses who was on shift with care… Show more I was a Senior Care Assistant for a 84 bed home, my job was supporting clients who needed 24 hour careI supported service users that had Dementia, MS, end of life, Parkinson, peg feeds, tracheotomy, COPDMy job was to assist with all personal care, moving and handling , administration of medication, toileting and regular pressure relief My job was to Support my team and make sure that the shift run smoothly, i also worked closely with the nurses who was on shift with care plans , making sure paper work was up to date , check the paper work was correct and up to date in the rooms , answer phones, have on call I am also Train the trainer for Moving and handling (I had to make sure that all staff was up to date with moving and handling and up to date ) I had to show new family around the home and new starters i would have to make sure that they would be signed of with there induction within the week I had the ability to multitask with Carer, admin and senior I have my certificate for Basic life support End of life level 2 NVQ level 2 and 3 in health and social care Dementia level 3Administration of Medication moving and handling (Train the trainer) Infection Control First Aid Food hygiene Show less
