I have had the privilege of working with young people throughout my whole career. Starting off as a primary school teacher, I worked as a Year 4 Teacher for 3 years and then moved to Year 6 for 3 years. Within my time teaching, I was also Pupil Premium Lead, Extended Provision Lead and Educational Visits Co-ordinator.I absolutely loved teaching, but found that once I started a family of my own (1st baby born in April 2020 lockdown!), it was too much to balance. I made the difficult decision to leave teaching and start my career tutoring and I’ve never looked back! I now work for the amazing Tutor Doctor Peterborough, still playing a part in making a difference to young people’s lives. I still get to inspire, motivate and support pupils to become the best versions of themselves. I build professional relationships with my students and really get to know them.I absolutely love when my students have those golden ‘light bulb’ moments and I strive to create as many of these as possible, by using concrete resources as well as written examples.
