Over the years I've been able to build a stable infrastructure by improving systems while keeping costs down and become an effective team leader.Below are the projects I've completed and been involved in:• Virtualization journey with Vmware, Procurement of hardware, setup environment including network & SAN, accomplished 70% virtualization of servers, this included a replica infrastructure of half capacity at the DR site. • Planned and built hardware infrastructure and server setup for a large retailer's chat application. We then grew the infrastructure to cater for other digital applications, I was a key player in running this infrastructure for a number of years, including OS'es and configuration, Servers, Network and DR infrastructure.• Created business proposal for Office 365 adoption and the savings over a 5-year period. Managed the entire migration project, went with a hybrid migration to gradually migrate users, Provided training to all staff on the 365 Portal & Onedrive.• Merged two-semi populated on premise Data centre’s to a single Data centre which provided significant savings in cooling, maintenance and space, Moved all servers and network equipment and links• Migration of a small solution which we hosted on-premises to AWS, Setup the EC2 instances, VPC and security, assisted in designing the architecture, completed successful migration.• Migration of connectivity from Diginet links to ME, ADSL to Fibre and managing the contracts and pricing related to this. • Implementing HAProxy Load Balancer on the edge network to enable high availability of web sites, load balancing and SSL offloading.• Migrated the backup solution to Veeam.• Migration of legacy call center software to Zendesk.
