Working with third party suppliers ensuring compliance to WBA requirements. Managing Technical Agreements with suppliers within the cosmetics category. Visiting suppliers to ensure compliance to GMP standards ISO 22716. Working with suppliers to solve quality issues during manufacture and delivery. Liaising with all areas of the business to ensure optimum performance from our suppliers, in particular sourcing and supply colleagues in all regions. I also was the “super user” for the eQMS system (Master Control) for our department, and a go to person for other IT systems used in our area, for example Teamcenter. I was also the Winning Culture Champion for the department, working with all levels and areas of the business to help make WBA a great place to work.

Responsible for ensuring products within my remit were developed to meet legislation, Boots quality and safety standards and were fit for purpose. I ensured products were developed to be compliant for the UK and international markets including the US, Canada and Europe. I worked with product development teams to create product briefs and manage the technical development of products from initial brief to launch and monitored the product once on the market. This included facilitating fragrance selection and development, selection and approval of formulations and hard goods, ensuring products were stability and micro tested and assessed for safety and any product claims were substantiated. I was mainly responsible for cosmetics and skincare ranges, haircare, wipes and non woven products such as nappies and femcare, Christmas gifts including some hard goods and bath accessories. I also worked with the supplier development team to ensure that Boots suppliers were complying with our technical standards and were aware of the requirements which may at times be over and above those within legislation.As part of ongoing quality management I also worked with the quality manager to solve any customer queries and complaints related to quality issues.

Reporting to the senior technologist, I was responsible for ensuring that all House of Fraser own branded products within homeware were safe, legal and fit for purpose. I was responsible for running sealing sessions with buying teams and identifying technical and quality issues with products at development, red seal and gold seal stages across all categories, including textile/soft furnishings, decorative home accessories, kitchenware, home fragrance and luggage. My responsibilities included liaising with suppliers to ensure our supplier audit information was up to date and correct and ensuring that suppliers were registered to use the SEDEX database. The role also required me to ensure that our products are tested to meet House of Fraser standards as well as any legal requirements, and to ensure that product care labels and warnings are correct. This included ensuring textiles suppliers arranged and submitted testing using the Interlink system. I also ensured that our product technical files were up to date and products approved technically in line with the critical path. As part of my role, I was also required to keep up to date with the current market and competitors and carry out analysis of other retailers offerings within their homeware departments. I also looked after the returns and refunds database and liaised with stores to investigate quality issues and recalls.

Technical development of new products working with third party manufacturers, mainly in skincare, indulgent bathing, cosmetics and Christmas gifts, ensuring Boots brands and exclusives products are safe, legal and meet brand and customer expectations. Management of maintenance of current products on the market to comply with Boots standards and legislation changes. Working with teams across the globe to ensure that products are globally compliant and fit for purpose.

Created and took ownership for a process for the receiving, release to stores and retaining a sample of all new products within the team. This has improved efficiency and enabled a smoother transition.Logging of new and potential supplier information, keeping this up to date and logging any samples received.Supporting the team to make their day to day jobs easier, e.g. inputting artwork briefs, assisting lab work, raising Purchase Order numbers.Booking travel for the team.Quality Monitoring - food samples.Market Research - identifying trends in the current market and particular areas of interest.Managing customer queries and complaints.Internal systems training - 100% on all tests and am a super user.Created a simpler and more efficient filing system on the LAN.

Seconded to role to support busy office initially for 3 months - extended to rolling monthly contract.Booking patients appointments from a review list via telephone and letter.Assessing patients needs and suitability for hospital transport - this could involve having to explain to patients why they do not qualify for transport.Dealing with vulnerable, stressed and upset patients - receiving complaints and escalating as appropriate.Filling empty clinic appointments, often at very short notice.

Reception duties - greeting and booking patients into clinic - rebooking appointments on exit.Locating and preparation of patients hospital notes.Answering telephone queries, changing and cancelling appointments.

Supporting Podiatrists and Podiatric Surgeons in clinic - taking blood pressure, urine samples, past medical history etc.Assisting collation of data and producing reports.Supporting Podiatry team with administrative tasks.
