As a Sales Executive at Blue Water Holidays I process enquiries from potential customers (which is a mixture of both customer facing and generating leads from emails and incoming telephone calls) to provide a custom, specialist service in the river and small ship cruising market. This is done through detailed discussion with the customer to assess their needs and budget, and then enquiring with multiple suppliers or tailoring a package to best fit the customer’s requirements, to create a profitable package to be sold by the business.

I worked independently in the events office at Herriots Hotel in Skipton. Working alongside the Sales and Marketing Manager I would generate new sales through promotional materials and the use of social media. This included holding Wedding Fayres, event open days and representing the venue at various local events. I would also have to work in other high demand areas of the business when busy, such as the restaurant, bar and reception desk.
