I am a master's student at the London School of Economics and Political Science pursuing a MSc in Political Science (Conflict Studies and Comparative Politics). My academic interests include de-colonial perspectives on global development, women's empowerment through education and political participation, and post-conflict reconstruction. I am skilled in qualitative research, professional cross-cultural communication, and I thrive in collaborative environments. As a student at LSE, I am involved in the Research Volunteering Scheme, where I conduct research with a team for the Baytree Centre, focusing on lowering educational barriers to girls who are refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers. Previously, I was located in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I was an academic administrative assistant with DIS, a study abroad organization dedicated to providing international students with experiential, intellectually challenging university courses, as well as fostering meaningful cross-cultural exchange. In this role, I had the opportunity to visit Kosovo and Geneva to study humanitarian law, and Brussels to study EU politics as a part of course-integrated experiential learning. In 2022, I graduated from Grinnell College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science concentrating in Global Development Studies, during which I pursued several internships including the U.S. Federal Judiciary and the U.S. Senate, which complemented my studies as well as developed my interest in creating positive social change through law and policy. I also undertook two student research positions, one in the Department of Political Science where I worked on the Grinnell College National Poll in collaboration with Selzer & Co., and and a second with the Department of Economics, where I contributed to research on women's unpaid labor and gender norms in Ethiopia.
