Being a video teller at Bank requires a vigilant eye for potential fraud and a strong gut feeling. It also requires you to be courteous and have knowledge about various bank products and fees. I service many customers as well as non-customers. For the customers, I am a friendly and knowledgeable face and help with convenient banking. I even alert them to service they aren’t currently using such as mobile and online banking.

My duties here are to call prospects and older customers and persuade them to set an appointment with a rep or pass them to a sales representative over the phone. The biggest obstacle here is gaining trust over the phone. I get many customers who are angry about the calls or customers that object. I have to keep a calm demeanor. Most of the time if the customer is upset and I approach the call with a calm friendly tone, they will mimic me as well.

As a keyholder my duties are to open the store; make sure everything is presentable and clean. I count the drawer and safe, making cash deposits and change as necessary. During the work day product knowledge and a friendly but confident voice is a must to answer any questions and confirm the sale.

My duties here consisted mostly of cleaning. I did however work Box Office and manage Customer Service often; this is where most of my phone experience comes from. Answering calls here gave me great experience in multitasking as I would be on call and with another customer in person as well.
