In this experience, I had the opportunity to complete an internship with Dr. Sharel Sly where I got to assist in starting an online national directory for black-owned dental practices across the nation. During this internship, I contacted many dental doctors and collected their practice information and credentials to input into the database. I was also held responsible for conducting the social media pages for the online database and assisting Dr.Sly with any work related to her dental practice such as assisting with her launch of Sistah's in Dentistry.

The key responsibilities of a front-end team member are to make sure customer service and engagement with the guest that shop at Target have a delightful experience upon entering the store and after they leave the store. As for front-end team members, we are required to make sure all purchases, deliveries, customer service questions, and guests' questions, comments, and concerns are executed in a timely manner and efficiently. Teamwork, customer engagement, and problem-solving is also an important component of a front-end team member at Target.

As a store associate/cashier at Buybuy Baby, I was required to interact with customers who enter the store and ensure all of their needs were met, and that each customer left in a satisfactory manner. I was also responsible for my role in the closing process of the store such as counting money, taking out the trash, and vacuuming. At the front end of the store, I am responsible for checking out customers, ensuring no items are being stolen, and capturing emails of the customers who shop with us. During the experience, I had to learn communication skills, flexibility, and conflict resolution.

My role as an operations assistant at the University of South Carolina was to listen to customer requests about different locations and equipment at the facility, refer to alphabetical or geographical directories to answer questions and provide telephone information to customers that called, greet patrons into the facility and conduct guest passes while ensuring no one gained unauthorized access into the facility, handle money and other valuables that patrons may leave behind, conduct CPR, AED or First-Aid if needed, and lend equipment to patrons and ensure the equipment is returned.

In this experience it was my responsibility to clean the confidential buildings of the national golf tournament called the Masters held in Augusta, Georgia where we were held solely responsible for making sure the facilities were spotless for patrons and personnel to enter and ensure that materials were restocked in the facilities. We were also responsible for cleaning the diner facility where patrons and personnel came to eat during the Master tournament to ensure they had a top-notch experience and that the cleanliness of each facility met expectations.
