The goal of my internship is to deliver a development package consisting of 8 technically challenged CSG wells. The key deliverable of this internship period include: -Work with multi-discipline stakeholders to pull together the Project's AFE Gatebook (i.e. project business case) and achieve GM approval to execute. -Prepare project work scope and provide Bid Notice to gathering construction contractors. -Perform technical evaluation of contractor bids and make recommendation to award. -Commence field civil construction work scopes and provide on site visible safety leadership and ensuring construction environmental compliance.

My duties included:- Certified welding on boilers- Repairing mining plant, apron feeders, crushers, conveyor galleries- Repairing smelters- Dogging cranes- Working under the instruction of Riggers- Construction of new sections of plant- Fabrication and alteration of plant- Operating EWP's, Forklifts and Telehandlers- MMA Welding, MIG Welding, Air Arc Gouging, Oxy-Aetylene cutting- Leading work crews- Working in open cut operations- Working in Manganese, Gold, Zinc, lead and Silver mines

Through the Confucius Institute at the University of Queensland I was given the opportunity to partake in a study tour at Tianjin University in Tianjin, China. While there I was working alongside masters students trying to develop optimisation methods for smart grid technologies. The aim of the work is to get the maximum benefit possible out of PV cells through demand side response.To Achieve this Python was to be used to:-Retrieve weather information-Predict level and rate of charge of PV system-Using weather and charge data determine a load scheduling system based on usage priorityThen a C program was to be used to control a Energy 'router' to control the devices that it was connected to shedding unnecessary loads.The ultimate aim of the project was to achieve peak electricity demand reduction through smart scheduling of appliances.

As an first year engineering student interning at Origin, my responsibilities included: - Assisting Engineers with error checking documentation- Creating parts lists for orders- Amending safe work instructions - Attending department meetings- Conducting walkdowns on assets before handing over to client- Interacting and working with clientsDuring my time at Origin I completed tasks on time end effectively, gained good understanding of the company and processes involved with the production of coal seam gas.

As a mobile maintenance tradesperson my role was to confer with different departments to navigate a busy site to assess and plan work and traffic movements. My job also required adept communication skills within my own department as there were a large number of tradesmen working together to conduct maintenance as efficiently and as safe as possible. I had a dedicated approach to the role, I was punctual and diligent with the safety aspect of the job, maintaining an excellent record of adhering to safety procedures and regulations. I gained experience operating heavy machinery, directing and driving cranes, rigging, scaffolding and repairing and maintaining a large fleet of heavy vehicles and ground engaging machines.
