It takes about 2-3 years to get through the ATS application process. We can basically run an OTC market now.We are Blockchain experts; Our Founder David Duccini got into Bitcoin in 2010. He is one of the few people that you can meet who has actually written a whole coin (POS/POW hybrid) back in 2015, but it was never sold as an ICO. He has about a dozen patents out of Wells Fargo for Blockchain in Banking. He also teaches a graduate level computer science Blockchain course at the local private university St. Thomas. He handed over the Blockchain class to me Jan 2023, and going forward he will be teaching their Smart Contract course starting Fall 2023.I'm the right-hand here at Silicon Prairie, so David and I double-team a lot of stuff. But we are primarily a technical team running a software company that creates and services all our regulated financial institutions, about 25 team members as of 2023. New terminology is introduced, followed by discussions regarding why this technology is disruptively powerful and a philosophical inquiry into the nature of money itself.The course breaks down the role of “mining” and demonstrates why the economics of the current implementations are not scalable (or even profitable). The process of building blocks one technology at a time from the underlying revision control system, the communication channel known as “gossip,” to achieving consensus in both a trusted and untrusted world will be covered.Students will examine practical case studies beyond cryptocurrencies, which will include critical identification of when these technologies are not practical. Finally, the course will conclude with an in-depth exploration into Smart Documents and Smart Contracts and their possible outcomes.This class does not have laboratory component, you do not have to write code in this class. CeoHello Tipjar Mar 2015 - Feb 2017Bootstrapped fintech startup. The product was a TipJar for web content that would automatically optimize to price show to the most profitable amount by using split testing. We wanted to create true 1-click tipping instead of filling out a form. "Basically a like with real money tied to it" We worked on this for two years, but ultimately my co-founder and I parted way. I got custody of the code but lost my passion for it after the split. It was a great learning experience though! I thought “Startup life is like a high stakes game. It’s seems like chess, except I don't know the board, the pieces, the players, the moves, or the win conditions... I better watch and learn...." Years later, this was a fully perfect strategy. My Thoughts:• Successful teams stomach the shame of shipping an ugly product to get feedback QUCIKLY.• Seek advice from people who have DONE it. Employees are not Entrepreneurs.• Make a legal entity ASAP, so that handshake deals don’t ruin friendships or cost you a fortune.• Some inventions should NOT be built into stand alone businesses, sell or license your IP.• Treat every dollar like it's your own, don’t insult others by asking them to fund your hobby.• It’s fully normal to experience terrifying swings of highs and lows, you get sea legs shortly.Update Nov 2019 - a little birdie told me Paypal recently refactored a code process to work like my old product. We shelved our tech years back, but it's still nice to know I was on the right path!
