My priority boroughs to focus on are Lewisham and Haringey.Before my secondment I was a Youth Development Lead on Team Programme. The Prince's Trust Team Programme is a 12 week personal development programme that helps young people 16 -25, who are either unemployed or not in education to meet new people, gain new skills, develop themselves and to become more confident. All my Team's were based in the South Coast of England so I covered our Partners in Southampton, Isle of Wight and Basingstoke (Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire Rescue Service) and in Weymouth (Weymouth College). This role wasn't just about supporting the delivery of the Team programme and doing the BTS, admin work but was also about being able to support our partners to achieve our combine aims for the young people we are supporting.

    I was a member of the Young People's Action Group under the VRU from August 2021 till September 2023. I had the opportunities to be involved and included in many processes, plans, conferences, meetings, summits and events to help reduce and stabilise youth violence across London. The YPAG increases feelings of safety, promotes opportunities for young Londoners and puts young people at the heart of the VRU’s work. Listening and promoting the voices of young people are core aims. Through my time working with the VRU and the Mayor of London, I have been able to start my own journey within public speaking and facilitation and have found my true purpose and passion in advocating for inclusive practise one education and reducing school exclusions, raising awareness on the need for more youth provisions and youth opportunities and also highlighting the voices of Looked After Children and Care Leavers.I have been able to deliver two of my social action plans on my passion for Youth Work. One was organising and hosting my LOVE 'OUR' YOUTH Event alongside another YPAG member in July 2023 as well as creating segment to my podcast speaking to Youth workers and CEO's of Youth Charities around London in 2022.I have also been apart of work around assessing grants, interviewing people for upcoming jobs within YPAG/VRU and in other programmes that the VRU support.Being a member of the YPAG was an amazing experience from getting interviewed for big media outlets such as BBC, ITV to doing the in house work and being noticed for the work I have put in and what I have learned.

    Youth Music invests in music-making projects which support children and young people aged 0-25 to develop personally and socially as well as musically. They work particularly with those who don’t get to make music because of who they are, where they live, or what they’re going through. For 6-12 weeks, I was working on a podcast with Youth Music. As a Podcast Host I had to work with a team of 15 young people aged 18 to 25 to create a six-part seriesdelving into the social and political themes of the music we love. I want to highlight the stereotypes of drill/rap music within my episode of the podcast alongside my team. The podcast as named The Higher Frequency & my teams episode is called ‘This is Not a Drill’. Within my section of the episode, I interviewed Cristale, an amazing versatile female rapper and Relly, an upcoming artist.
