I am a civil engineering student at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, with a passion for designing and building sustainable and resilient structures and systems. I am also a first-generation college student and the oldest of my siblings, which motivates me to pursue my academic and professional goals.Previously, I interned at Berkeley Lab, where I helped develop wake-up or put-to-sleep software for laptops using another device, to help save energy and improve user convenience. Previously, I interned as a graphic designer at Caro Trades, a coffee company, and as a media intern at Richmond High School, where I took senior pictures, interviewed students, and created a summer yearbook. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills in photography, interviewing, yearbook avenue, and Adobe Photoshop.
