As news editor, I assigned and edited daily news stories with unique angles in PAPER's voice to full-time and freelance reporters as well as interns. I ensure an equal balance of coverage across all of PAPER's interests and coordinate with our social media team and editorial team to create thoughtful, engaging copy across all formats. I also wrote news myself as well as contributed a number of deeply reported features and interviews. Subjects included our April 2023 Ice Spice cover, Freddie Gibbs, McKinley Dixon, Paul Wall, Avril Lavigne and more. My news and feature stories garnered several million cumulative page views.

In my role as music editor, I worked closely with my fellow editor Scott Russell, as well as our CEO and the editors of our other sections, to keep a steady flow of traffic coming to our site and socials. With over a million visitors a month, I contributed news posts daily and coordinate Paste's famed weekly music roundups. Other duties included writing features and lists, as well as assigning them to freelancers and interns. I also acted as Paste's representative at events, and have done both print and photograph coverage for national music festivals such as Governors Ball, Riot Fest, and Rolling Loud for the site. Much of my coverage centers around rap and hip-hop, which Paste deemed to be a blind spot that I have been able to fill. Interviews I have done for Paste included Chet Faker (aka Nick Murphy), Danny Brown, Rico Nasty, Wiki, Maxo Kream, Duke Deuce, Gerald Casale of DEVO, Laura Jane Grace and more.
