As the Program and Development Administrator at Promises2Kids, I managed three direct service programs, provided vital resources to San Diego's foster youth population, while also organizing various fundraising and community awareness events. The programs provided the essential support that foster children need to develop into healthy, self-sufficient adults. Educating the community on the needs of current and former foster youth is critical for the continuation of these services and the ultimate success of these children.Some of my responsibilities included but were not limited to organizing small to medium scale fundraising events, implementing an online giving campaign, managing the organization's social media outlets, soliciting donations, grant writing, coordinating events for participating youth, managing our financial support programs and the recruitment and training of volunteers.

At ACS, I recruited team leaders and participants for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. I provided fundraising coaching and assistance to the teams as well customer service support for the website.

-Volunteering for a one-year term with the Y-FRIENDz Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program through the AmeriCorps VISTA organization.-Assist in screening, training, recruiting, and matching qualified mentors. Enrolling mentees, renewing and closing matches.-Planning, organizing, and supervising monthly group events for the mentees, mentors, and families.

-Provided support for young adults on the Autism spectrum in order to prepare them for future employment. Fund raising events and community outreach at local events.-Being a presence at community events (fairs, concerts, and parades) and educating the public on our organization and cause.-Working side by side with young adults with varying levels of Autism at the rose farm.-Selling roses at local farmer’s markets to raise funds for the organization as well as collectdonations, distribute literature, and answer questions about the organization.
