I am working full time in clinic whilst studying at The College of Animal Welfare. I strive to deliver the best patient care whilst learning new skills.I work in all areas of practice and am keen to put theory into practice.

Whilst working at MeiraGTx I cultured mammalian cell lines, preparing them for and carrying out transductions.

I worked seasonally at the Farm Park during University holidays. I was very keen to be involved in all aspects of farming and volunteered for overnight care during lambing season and for overnight care of an orphan lamb. Other aspects of my job included assisting and serving customers visiting the attraction, maintaining the facilities and I was also requested to carry out administrative work in the office.

I carried out a voluntary year in industry at NIBSC. Where I have been able to undertake key laboratory skills including cell culturing, enzyme linked immunosorbent assays, cytotoxic and neutralisation assays. I have been able to use new equipment including: microbiological safety cabinet class II, plate washer and reader. This experience was invaluable and provided me with an insight into research. I have attended in house and external seminars whilst additionally delivering my own. I have completed all aspects of health and safety and been able to upkeep the laboratory to ensure the environment is clean and not contaminated.

During my second year at University whilst studying I had a part time job as a Resident Assistant. This role was extremely rewarding, I was available to help any students with any queries they had whilst I was on 'on-call' shifts a couple times a month aswell as having two buildings of residents that I was responsible for coordinating events for and making sure they settled into University well.
