I am currently enrolled as a fourth-year undergraduate student at Brock University, majoring in Psychology in the BA co-op program. I am interested in careers involving working with kids and teens, mental health, and education, preferably secondary education.Having prior experience through co-op placements working with children at a therapy clinic and a group home for adolescents with ASD and FASD I believe I have a strong ability to foster a friendly, supportive, and compassionate environment necessary to work in my fields of interest. I am a strong communicator and am not afraid to take on a leadership role, when necessary, which is essential when working in education or therapy. I am also able to effectively collaborate with others and problem solve which I believe is useful for any job I may take on. Throughout my post-secondary education, I learned a lot about mental health, and I would like to work in a position where I'm able to apply the knowledge I already know, while also being able to strengthen this knowledge through a new perspective with a more engaging environment.
