As a risk and control specialist I manage and deliver internal audit and risk management services to a wide range of organisations, in both the public and private sector and across a wide spectrum of industries. My areas of experience include:- Developing internal audit plans, through robust engagement with Executive, Management teams and Boards- Conducting and managing the delivery of internal audit engagements to assess compliance with policies/standards or to assess the effectiveness of processes and controls- Establishing tailored risk management frameworks- Reviewing risk management frameworks and recommending improvements considered in light of the organisations needs, maturity and better practice- Performing strategic and operational risk assessments through facilitating workshops at both a Board and management level to identify risks to achieving strategic and operational goals and how these are being managed. Working also within PwC’s Manukura team, I have a strong focus on helping New Zealand businesses ensure their policies, processes and controls are designed and operating effectively to meet Treaty of Waitangi obligations and commitments.
