- Provide individual career counseling to first-year students of all majors and students in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design on resumes, career exploration, change of major, navigating the internship/full-time job search, grad school, salary negotiation and other career related topics- Assist students in discovering their values, interests, and strengths and with resolving uncertainties about their major and or career goals- Independently lead interactive career… Show more - Provide individual career counseling to first-year students of all majors and students in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design on resumes, career exploration, change of major, navigating the internship/full-time job search, grad school, salary negotiation and other career related topics- Assist students in discovering their values, interests, and strengths and with resolving uncertainties about their major and or career goals- Independently lead interactive career classroom presentations, workshops and events for groups of up to 300 students- Counsel and advise students who disclose sensitive concerns and refer to appropriate campus resources- Collaborate with Freshman Focus Team to create and implement tailored outreach, workshops, classroom presentations and events for first-year students- Collaborate with campus programs including the International Center, Cal Poly Scholars, EOP, the Dream Center, the LatinX Center, and TRiO to deliver specialized career presentations, workshops, and events- Establish, develop and maintain positive communications and partnerships with faculty, staff, including within the College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) and other campus partners- Plan and lead tailored workshops and classroom presentations for CAED students including resume and career fair prep workshops- Administer and interpret career assessments through one-on-one counseling meetings- Served on the planning committee for Career Services’ annual Diversity Mixer event (2022) Show less
